Although an ambulance will be dispatched immediately to a 999 call, response times in rural communities such as ours can be unpredictable.

'PART' has therefore been set up to provide our local community with a group of trained volunteers, equipped with Defibrillators & Oxygen, on call to co-respond to 999 calls, prior to the arrival of the ambulance. Our speed of attendance could dramatically increase chances of survival for life-threatening emergencies, such as heart attacks or simply provide vital care, support and reassurance for you and your family or colleagues.

We trust you will appreciate how valuable this is to our community. We rely entirely on donations to equip the team, it costs about £1800 per responder and then more to meet ongoing costs for equipment maintenance.

We currently have 7 trained responders sharing equipment, so we can make a start but we need your help to expand the team in order to provide the desired 24/7 cover.

We therefore urge all local businesses, clubs, societies and individuals to support the scheme through donations and fund raising wherever possible. Donations, however large or small, can be left at 'The Sussex Mortgage Specialist Ltd' in the High Street, Partridge Green.
